Durga Pooja
We had a guest speaker Ms Chandreyee Dasgupta who made a
presentation on the Bengali celebration – Durga Pooja. She also shared some delicious
‘Rasgullas’ with us, which is a special sweet from Bengal.
Guest speaker Ms. Manavi Ghosh shared information about Halloween through a power point presentation. Primary School celebrated Halloween on 2nd November 2012. Children came dressed as spooky characters and participated in the parade. Children enjoyed Trick or Treat by visiting different classrooms.

Celebrations
In
connection to the current unit ‘Celebrations’ a Treasure corner has been created where artifacts related to
different celebrations have been kept. Children are in the process of exploring the artifacts and finding out its relevance. They have been
full of questions and are very curious to know more about them. They have added a few artifacts to the
Treasure corner.
