Literacy Week- 10^th – 14^th September 2102

Children enthusiastically participated in various activities during the Literacy Week. They read the story ‘The Dragon Lanterns’ a folk tale from China. They reflected on the story by drawing their favourite scene and character from the story.

Children made their own lanterns and decorated them with Chinese symbols.

They also learnt the recipe for making Chinese noodles and enjoyed eating it.

The Literacy Week culminated with a short special assembly where the Kindergartners presented a song from China.

Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day was celebrated in school on 14^th August 2012. Special assembly was held to mark the celebration. Students of grade 5 recited a patriotic poem while 4^th graders did a dance. Children were dressed up in the colours of the Indian flag.

Kindergarteners had their morning snack in sit down style.

 They also made Indian flag using the ice-cream sticks.
